UCT INTERNATIONAL CENTER
The UCT International Centre is located in the block of Manhattan Multinational Missions to the UN and adjacent to the United Nations Children’s Fund, the United Nations Development Programme and the Kuwaiti Mission to the UN. It is across the street from the UN Secretariat Building, and within walking distance of the delegacy place of the United States, South Korea, Japan, the European Union and China. The center has a room area of 1,500 feet. It has two multi-functional exhibition halls, which can accommodate more than 300 people and are equipped with advanced lamplight and stage design. In the exhibition halls, various kinds of meetings, activities or cultural activities such as art-dance training can be held. The interior hanging celebrity calligraphy and paintings, the signatures of envoys from various countries, the light-colored floor with silk and bamboo patterns, the post-modern simple decoration of blue and white color system, together with the tailored activity design plan place every guest in the ocean of culture, pursuing the most authentic and simplest feelings for art, culture and nationality.
In addition, the center’s unique 1,000-foot huge open-air garden has retro cultural brick wall and lush trees, and it is surrounded by fresh air and bathed in warm sunshine. The garden can accommodate more than 150 people and hold outdoor dancing party, barbecues and other related activities.
