Jiangsu Taizhou News: Through two-day in-depth talks and field visit, on August 18, 2017, American Kono Group and Jiangyan Economic Development Zone Management Committee of Taizhou signed the Framework Agreement for Strategic Cooperation, aiming to build a 3-square-kilometer characteristic town on the shore of Qin Lake, a 5A scenic area in Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, namely, Kono Tercel (Yangtze River) General Aviation Tourist Town.
According to the plan, the total investment of this project is 15 billion yuan, the total land area to be developed is 3 square kilometers, and the special water area is 2 square kilometers. The air service of the small town will be provided by the most advanced Kono Tercel multipurpose helicopters and seaplanes from the United States and will be available all day long, and 2 million aviation tourists will be received every year.
Led by the general aviation industry, being Qin Lake 5A scenic area and its surrounding rich cultural and tourism resources centered, relying on the adjacent major tourist towns such as Suzhou, Shanghai and Yangzhou, dominated by air services, taking international education and training as the bridge, guaranteed by American advanced aviation technology and successful experience, and based on characteristic real estate development, Kono Tercel (Yangtze River) General Aviation Tourist Town will be built into a comprehensive high-tech aviation town in East China, which integrates more than ten high-end functions, such as water general aviation industrial base, global aviation tour, aeroclub, international central schools, etc. It is estimated that the industry scale will exceed 100 billion yuan.

Prior to this, the signed general aviation towns built by Kono Group in China include Kono Tercel (Ningxia) General Aviation Spa Town and Kono(Dongting Lake) General Aviation Cultural and Tourist Town.
